FAQs
What is PRF?
PRF stands for platelet rich fibrin, found in whole blood. Platelets are the cells that circulate in the blood and clot, used to help stop bleeding. PRF is known to contain over 21 different growth factors and is used for a range of regenerative services.
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone is a little different, so we’ll do a complementary consultation before we recommend a treatment plan. Typically we recommend 3 to 6 treatments for best results.
What are the benefits?
PRF stimulates the production of collagen, giving skin a tighter and more youthful appearance. It also regenerates tissue, smooths texture, improves skin tone and regenerates hair loss. With a simple in-office procedure, we can use PRF to naturally rejuvenate your skin or promote hair regrowth.
Is a PRF treatment painful?
The PRF Facial, Facelift and Scalp Therapy are mildly uncomfortable treatments. We use a topical numbing cream prior to starting the session to keep you as comfortable as possible. There is minimal discomfort after the treatment.
How does a PRF treatment work?
We’ll perform a simple blood draw, then spin your blood in a centrifuge. This process separates your plasma from red blood cells. Once the product is ready, we’ll inject the PRF back into your skin and let it work its magic.
What’s the down time?
The treatment area will be red or pink the first night, but the redness will resolve within one to two days. You can wear makeup if you prefer.
